Last day of work

Today was so wonderful... I will miss all my coworkers so much - they really made my last day at work so special. They took goofy pictures with me, got coffee with me, drew me "WIWIWT" drawings (what I wish I wore today) in honor of my blog, surprised me with pink balloons/candy bars/a sweeet card... I'm feeling so spoiled with love right now. And the most amazing end to it - when it came time to leave it started snowing!! Such a magical last day.

Thank you all so much for the kind comments on my last post - I'm going to work on replying to them over the weekend. The amount of support pouring in for my new career path is amazing - you guys are awesome!

And to end this post, here is a brief little video of me seeing the snow when I walked out of work for the very last time:

Video blog #3! An ode to summer

Happy Friday!!

Well, we are officially in October - which is my faaaavorite time of the year! Yay! I love fall, halloween, pumpkin flavored things (and pumpkins in general!), spooky decorations, costumes, cool weather... I'm pretty excited to say the least. I already went and scoped out all the cute Halloween decorations in my area, and cracked open my first bottle of Pumpkin Spice beer last night. (thanks to my sweet boyfriend!)

I figured in honor of the seasonal change, I'd make a new video blog to wrap up some of my favorite clips I filmed this summer! So, here it is: Video Blog #3, an ode to summer!

I've really liked making video blogs so far - I always take little blips of video but never know what to do with them... well now I have a way to put them to good use! :D Is there anything you'd like me to make a video of? I figured so far I've made lots of weird random videos, so it might be nice to try to tackle a subject on the next video I upload.

Also - for those who have been asking about my postcard project... That was put off due to commission work and my workload at my day job :( It is still going to happen, and I'm hoping this month will be a good time! I'll keep you guys posted! hehe, post posted! I'm a dork :B

Quick video update

For those who have heard on the news, there has been a lot of rain in Atlanta. Ok - a lot is an understatement - the rain has been steady for 11 days, and some areas are flooding now.

I figured I'm due for a blog update, and I should probably let you guys know I'm safe and well! My area isn't too bad at the moment, but the tunnel to leave my neighborhood is... well.. you see in the photo :)

We are still in good spirits about all the mess since it hasn't hit our area too badly - so while in the moment, here is a quick video update of my boyfriend and I exploring the new "lake" in Krog Tunnel. Yikes! I don't even want to know what is in that water...

Hope you are all well. My heart goes out to those whose homes are flooded and/or that have lost family members. I'm feeling very grateful and lucky today... Trying to look at the positive of all the rain. Lets hope things get better quickly for Atlanta!

Video blog post #2!

This Sunday I didn't end up writing an Ideas and Inspiration post... sorry! Instead, I met up with super sweet Lillian at Criminal Records to gift her some knitting needles! We have been twittering to each other for a bit, so it was exciting to finally meet her in person :) While I was there I ended up buying a few vinyl figures...eee - I didn't plan on that but oh well! They are really cute and I had been wanting them for a while. I got the Aidamon Mad*L and two Tara McPherson blind box figures (which were Mr. Wiggles and the Flying Bunny! I wanted them so bad~yay!).

On the way back home, I got the idea to take some video another vblog! (vlog? what the heck are these called?!) Its basically me walking and driving around the area I live in, goofing off with my new toys, and a bit of the street art/graffiti in my area!

Video blog update! (vlog?)

So typically I like to do an Art update on Tuesdays... But a lot of the projects I'm working on at the moment are in such simple preliminary stages that they wouldn't be fun to share.

In the place of art, I made my verrrrry first VLOG! Video-bloggy-thing. I'd say 45 seconds is business talk to let you guys know what I'm bringing on the way for you... (I'm going to start a postcard art trade! eee!)

The rest: Me goofing off for the evening, Betsey Johnson bag and sunglasses that came in the mail, new rings, painting nails, fun gifts from sweet Twitter friends (thank you Wendy!! You made my day!), mysterious toys from Japan, dog walking, possibly a bit of drinking, and more! The background music is "I got you dancing" by Lady Sovereign.

Seriously though - Let me know what you think. On the postcard art trading that is, but if you wanna talk about the silliness, that works too! hehe
