Hooray! March has arrived :) To start off the month I thought I'd offer a free calendar desktop download. I made three different sizes - enjoy!
I'm going to try to make this a monthly thing - I really like desktops like this... do you?

Here is a quick little "What I wore today" illustration! I sketched it out during my last two weeks at my job, but I didn't actually get around to coloring it until today. It was so rainy and windy the day I wore that outfit - ironically its super sunny and beautiful today... Speaking of which, I probably should stop drawing and go eat some lunch outside or something! It is too nice to pass this up.

This week has been maaaad busy! It has totally caught me off guard. I'd say most of it was spent doing business junk (wheee), business errands and sketch warm ups. I've been doing preliminary work for some projects too, but I'll share that later when everything is completed! Yesterday in attempts to make business work more fun, I tried to work in a coffee shop! But after having issues with the train, parking and then no seats when I finally arrived to the shop... I decided I prefer working at home :\ I'll have to try again another day!
Since I didn't have time to work on a "What I wore today" drawing or "Things I love Thursday", I thought I'd share some of my favorites from this week's sketch warm ups. The little fairy with the box was for my friend Ant, he asked me to draw him the "mail fairy" who brought him a signed J. Scott Campbell 2010 calendar. (jealous!)

I was going through my files and realized I had some random drawings I hadn't shared yet! Whooops, lets fix that:
Knives Chau (from Scott Pilgrim) doodle for Lillian since she let me borrow her books!
Spoke card illustration for Brunks 2nd birthday! The theme was one side a fast rabbit, the other side a slow drunk turtle (with a fixed gear). Its kinda hard to tell, but the little PBR cans actually say "Brunks Blue Ribbon" :) Brunks is a super fun Atlanta monthly bike pub crawl started by my friend Stephan. I didn't end up going to the event because we went to Charleston, but you can read his post about it here. Warning: Stephan's blog = totally ridiculous. Be prepared.
I think I didn't upload this right away because before we saw New Moon, we watched Twilight on dvd to get back up to speed... So by the time I finally saw the second movie I felt like I had a teen-vampire-flick hangover and didn't want anything to do with Twilight. But now I'm over it - and slightly excited for the next one! Bring on the ridiculous teen drama! Heh.
I have some more stuff to share, but I'll lump that into another post so this isn't super image heavy!

My trip to Charleston was pretty quick and laid back... I actually stayed in an area called "Daniel Island" with my boyfriend and his friend Dave, who lives there! We explored the island while taking photos, went to go see a C-17 which is the kind of plane Dave flies for work (it is HUGE omggg! see above), checked out the bay and visited downtown Charleston for a bit. My pictures are just so so, the really epic ones are taken by my boyfriend. You can see his awesome photos here, and mine are on my flickr.
Oh, and I rode some sea turtles while I was there.
Cause you know, that's what you do at Daniel Island.

Sometimes I think they are pretty necessary to relax. :)
