YAY! I am so excited to be done with this :) I started this project a few months ago, but due to my workload I ended up having to put it on the back burner for a bit... but now its finally done! This is a poster for one of my favorite bands, "J'aime & I", which is going to be paired with their debut EP, "Inexperienced Youth", coming out around March!! I'm so excited to be a part of their first release and I can't wait to hear their new songs <3
The band wanted me to try to recreate a "Jem and the Holograms" type look with their poster - thus the whole super bright 80's look going on. I really enjoyed working on this - it was the first time I have ever drawn a band and instruments, so I learned a lot... I can't believe how much research I had to do to figure out what parts went where, and how things are held! I hope I got it all correct. ;)
I think my favorite person to draw was Janice because she has such an iconic look to her. I love how she has mixed EGL fashion with punk elements to create her look... She is such a rad girl! Really though, they are all pretty rad and its such a unique fun band:
