personal update!

This was originally posted in my personal livejournal a few hours ago, but after much discussing with my boyfriend - I will probably be moving my personal posts over here so I'm not updating two sites. I dunno! We will see.

I saw this beaauuutiful purple bow headband at the store today - it's my favorite shade of purple... I tried it on and I was like eh, I dunno. 
But I bought it. (what)
I figured for 5$, I could find at least find one occasion to wear it without feeling like a 12 year old. Above is my immature 12 year old San expression. derp derp. it is fitting!

Anyhow - when I put it on, I feel like Kiki!



Which makes me want to dress up as a cute little witch even more for Halloween. I'm thinking a pretty ruffly lace black dress, purple and black striped stockings, giant bow, a little black glittery broom stick, and sequined black shoes or something. I want to be a CUTE witch :B And I want it to be stuff I can re-wear, cause I hate buying costumes and only wearing them once. We shall seeeeeee -



In other news - I got new blush today - MAC Mineralize in "gentle" - since Sephora no longer sells Bourjois :( I feel silly for being sad over that though, cause this new blush is 10x better. I only have it put it on once, where as my old blush I had to layer like 10 times. So that's good I suppose!

I also picked up a really cute heart shaped glitter lipgloss for a contest I plan on holding soon. I need to figure out what exactly this contest will be though. And I feel slightly funny buying girly items since I know guys read my journal too - so maybe I should figure out a guy-esque prize. Or not. I dunnooo!

Did you have a nice weekend? Mine was a tiny bit stressful - but overall nice! I'm happy that boyfriend has returned home from his trip to Santa Fe. :)

Video blog post #2!

This Sunday I didn't end up writing an Ideas and Inspiration post... sorry! Instead, I met up with super sweet Lillian at Criminal Records to gift her some knitting needles! We have been twittering to each other for a bit, so it was exciting to finally meet her in person :) While I was there I ended up buying a few vinyl figures...eee - I didn't plan on that but oh well! They are really cute and I had been wanting them for a while. I got the Aidamon Mad*L and two Tara McPherson blind box figures (which were Mr. Wiggles and the Flying Bunny! I wanted them so bad~yay!).

On the way back home, I got the idea to take some video another vblog! (vlog? what the heck are these called?!) Its basically me walking and driving around the area I live in, goofing off with my new toys, and a bit of the street art/graffiti in my area!

Art Update! tractors and cute gals

A brief art update! I've been pretty slammed lately with freelance, which is awesome but a tad bit overwhelming! Much much <3 though to all the patient people who have commissioned me, I really appreciate it! I thought I'd share a few things I've worked on lately that aren't in messy sketch stage. Katy Perry's tumblr - I don't really listen to her music - I actually found the site while looking for pictures of her outfits... but hooooly crap this girl is crazy hilarious. I mean come on - how can a blog called "Kitty Purry" not be totally awesome?! Go check it out. You will giggle lots. Also:

Tarina Tarantino is having a online casting call for her next campaign! I was wanting to take some nice photos for my website soon, so I might enter for the heck of it since I adore a lot of her designs. You should too! Ya know - why not! :)

Jeremy Forson's art  - Stunning girls + San Francisco Victorian-style homes = fantastic stuff. I really want a print of his work.

New People opened in San Francisco this Saturday - Ahhh! I want to go check it out sooo bad the next time I'm in the area! If you haven't heard about it, New People is sort of a shopping/movie theatre/art center in SF's Japantown. A few of the stores inside: Baby the Stars Shine Bright, Black Peace Now, 6%dokidoki... I'm dying to go see it! Shrinkle just put photos from the opening festival on her blog and they are super fun, go look!

Last but not least, Things I love this Thursday: my buddy Victor. :B Who thought it would be funny to be on this list... I'd link to his blog, but thiiiink it is sekrat.

Other worthy things: So so so excited to go to hooping class on Sunday, this photo, horoscope videos, writing positive notes in the morning, National Cupcake Day, beautiful new street art by my house, total crisis panic buttons (I need this!!), replying to comments and emails from my site (You guys brighten my day so much, thank you<3), daydreaming about San Francisco and Japan, and on the note of San Francisco: this is amazing, being told I remind someone of the girl from Bat for Lashes (mega flattering!)...
