Today was spent making mini donuts and photo booth faces.
Seriously - donuts! They were pretty tasty. There were three different toppings we tried, cinnamon + sugar, chocolate, and glaze with sprinkles (check it out!). I got the idea from Vegan Yum Yum - but since I'm not vegan, I altered the recipe a bit. I used an egg instead of replacer, butter instead of earth balance, added 3/4 flour, left out the vinegar and nutmeg (not a fan of it), and put in a cup of apple sauce. They ended up having a sort of appley cinnamon taste! To get the awesome little donuty shape - I used a non-stick mini donut pan gifted to me by Chris' brother and wife. (THANK YOU!) I love this little donut pan. So fun! Nomnomnom. I'm dreamy in mini donutland.
