"If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America
is a place where all things are possible,
who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time,
who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer."
Never in my life have I seen so many complete strangers in different neighborhoods, cheering over the same thing publicly to other strangers. I could hear the cries of excitement, fireworks and car horns honking from inside my home - it was unbelievable!
My friend Laila and I rode around town by local bars and then to Ebenezer church to see reactions, and the response were unreal. People coming together in the streets, groups dancing the electric slide, standing on cars and singing, lots of horn honking, happy crying and cheering. Apparently this occurred also at the Georgia Capital and in Midtown Atlanta. It was totally emotional and amazing to experience. I'm still moved by it all.

On a different note...
- I was recently featured on the ATL creatives website!! Super exciting :) ATL creatives is a website started by Eric Shoemaker, Rick Hill and Matt Berger to help showcase the "city's freshest talent". Check it out!
- The fabulous Jemibook mentioned my blog on a post about her favourites! She makes awesome music and is super adorable, I love her blog and flickr. Super flattering !
- On Halloween, my art was at the "B Scared" show at The B Complex gallery. I put some photos up on flickr - it turned out to be a very cool and spooky event :)
- I didn't end up being Jem for Halloween. Time ran short, sewing turned out not so hot - so at the verrry last minute I put on a Beret and scarf, and went as a French-esque girl. It turned out to be a lot more comfortable!
Did your town celebrate the election victory?
If so - tell me about it! I'm so curious about what is going on all over the world right now.
