I've been SO happy this week - its been fantastic. I have a really good feeling about things, about life, this year, etc. Not sure what is fueling it but I feel on top of the world and its awesome! I'm going to keep this entry a little short today but here are a few things I'm really excited about or digging right now:
- Bonnie and Clyde, oil and vinegar decanters - My coworker showed me this site called "Pepe and Friends" filled with a super cute tablewear collection. I really want these two little guys for our new kitchen table! I think they would fantastic with a huge vase of Craspedia behind them.
- TREESON! So I finally ordered the huuuuge 8" Treeson - the one I had mentioned a while back in a previous Things I love Thursday post... He arrived last Friday and I was so giddy to open up the box!! I had also ordered a small pink baby Treeson blowing a bubble. They also came with a huge recycled plastic shopping bag and stickers, which was a neat surprise! I keep hugging the giant Treeson a lot, he looks so cute and happy! Chris and I are going to be spending a day this weekend taking photos of all the Treesons in interesting scenes to submit for the upcoming Treeson book. I'm still kind of wanting the baby bookworm Treeson special edition that comes with a story book, but I think it might be time to calm down - 4 Treesons is a lot :)! Here are some Treeson links if you don't know much about him:
Bubi Au Yeung's website (Artist who made up Treeson)
Treeson Flickr Community and info on submitting to the book contest!
- "All i want to be is someone that makes new things and thinks about them" sign from Kate Bingaman’s Studio...Poppy talk posted about her studio last week in their blog, and it is very fantastic. The colors are so rich and bold, and I love all the little things she has in the room to inspire her (such as the sign!)
- Gary Fisher Simple City 3w Bicycle - So lately I've been wanting a new bike for a while since my flashy little fixed gear isn't meeting my needs anymore. Don't get me wrong - I really like my bike, but I've been wanting something a little more upright and that can have a basket on the front. After desperately trying to alter my bike a few times with the aid of my boyfriend - leading to realization that a basket just isn't going to fit, sighing a whole lot because my bike isn't even set up to have a rear basket attached, and then going to Amsterdam and seeing allll the fabulous upright bicycles with lovely baskets - I thought I might go nutty!! I finally broke down, made a few calls to shops, and ordered a new bike to be built for me. Eeeee! It is a teal Gary Fisher Simple City 3w bicycle, and I had the basket from the higher up model added to it. It should be ready by the end of September - I'm so pumped!! I just hope is as easy to ride as my fixed gear, I'm a little nervous about all the added weight and not having clip-in pedals... We'll have to see!
Honorable mentions:
- Cinnamon Tea on rainy days while daydreaming about taking photographs on a bike ride with friends
- Having Cassie and Jenny over to cook, knit and watch Blade Runner - we need to do knitting groups more often!
- Getting my Munnys in the mail for an up coming project!! EEE!
- Having Friday and Monday off - helloooooo four day weekend! :D
- Goofy faces, lots of laughing, bouncing on exercise balls to break up monotony while listening to bossanova
Hope you are all doing well - thanks for all your nice comments this week! :)
