fun things from this week:

- Did lots and lots of drawing
- made a shepard's pie for the first time, it took foreverrrr omg.
- saw my mother and went to go see my Aunt's art booth in downtown Newnan and bought some of the cards she was selling
- went to a fun paper show for work and pick up lots of cool fancy sample stuff - I'm a big fan of Neenah Paper and all their samples, they are gorgeous displays of what you can do with paper.
- Plotting to plan out a new route for this year and my goals since I've decided to take a different twist on things.  Hopefully I'll begin action this week :D

last but not least, things that I've wanted to share but have been too busy:

- I've kinda got shopping on the brain due to our upcoming trip, which has been so so hard to ignore.  I am trying to get it out of my system with some online window shopping and here are a few things I really like right now:

I finally broke down and let myself buy the Tarina Tarantino cameo ring I've been wanting, but only because I've been eyeballing it for over a year now.  I had mentioned that to my mom and she thought I was being kinda ridiculous! Heh :)

My posting last week was delayed from being super super busy!  Some things I've been up to:

- We got an apple TV, so we have been watching lots of movies!  I finally saw Angel-A and the Darjeeling Limited, which were both very very good.

- I've been cooking a lot since Chris still has a broken collarbone, and its been kinda fun.  I had a dessert movie party one night and made scones & blueberry buttermilk cake.  Another night we made tofu pad thai and it was super delicious.  I'm still really inspired by the cookbook that my cousin gave me and even made some oatmeal cookies tonight.  They weren't super amazing but I'm having fun with it all since I've never really tried cooking before.

- I went to my first meeting at the wine group that my friend's started.  We had a lot of fun and tried many many different wines and cheeses, and I can't wait for the next meeting!  There were a few photos taken, and a blog made to document things:  check it out!

- I can't stop thinking about France!  We bought our plane tickets and are trying to plan what hotels to stay in now.  We leave for Amsterdam on July 17th, stay for three days and then travel to France and stay there until the 28th.

- I finished up my painting this week and am going to try to start another one soon.  I've had lots of ideas lately and I'm very excited about making them happen!  I've decided to not enter the Indie Craft fair this summer, and to instead put that money toward my trip and to focus on my etsy story and painting more.  There will be other events! :)

I'm off to bed, I've got a long day ahead of me tomorrow!  I think I'll post later on this week about more plans for my trip this summer.  I'm beyond excited about it! eek! :D

Things I love Thursday

- Keep calm and carry on posters - I saw these a while back on a blog, and then ended up following the blog of the creator.  She has some interesting posts, and she just recently posted about her posters and the people who have them.  I would like to get one for my craft room soon! 

- Day Dreaming about a certain little dress and ring I want to wear in Amsterdam and Paris this summer.  I am planning on getting something special to wear one night out while we are on our trip and I'm not sure what but its exciting to think about for now! 

- This super cool cork ring - made out of recycled wine cork, sterling silver and recycled copper.  Its topped with a cute little rhinestone and the side reads "Every Day Is Earth Day".  I really want one!

- Beautiful spring walks with cherry blossom petals raining everywhere!

- I love reading my rss feed and seeing things like this cute bike basket with green grass inside it
Hooray for fun blogs that share good things and great pictures!

- Urban Renewals by Mari - Some great cute ways to turn left over tshirts into awesome outfits.  I really want to try to make some of these soon.
