Hello ! This week has been a very heart-filled one. Not a whole lot went down, pretty laid back and not super tons of crafting. Chris was gone for two days this week at a conference in Las Vegas where he was a speaker, and during those two nights I went and got my hair cut. Its really short in the back and makes big hair a possibility again (yes!) and I also have bangs again. I have a real soft spot for bangs and big hair, so this hair cut has definitely grown on me. This coming weekend I'm going back to have some teal highlights put in - I'm really excited! I haven't had fun color in my hair for six months now.
On Saturday my mom and I went by the knitting store Knitch to get an idea of where it was located and what it was like. (I'm going to attend knitting classes for the next three weekends starting next Saturday!) It was very very cute and comfy feeling inside, and everyone was very nice. There were some really beautiful different kinds of yarn that I am dying to find a way to use - my heart is currently set on a little bundle that had off-white, teal and gold glitter mixed together. I hope my class is a success and I really enjoy knitting! After poking around in there my mom and I went and had lunch at Belly General Store, which has the cutest Valentines decorations right now. There were plastic hearts hanging from the ceiling everywhere, and really super yummy looking cupcakes with candy hearts in the window that I wish I had gotten a picture of. I did end up snagging a photo (and a bag!) of the heart shaped pasta from Italy though. The food was very tasty and like homemade - I had a blt with avacado, and it came with a pickle and deviled egg. I really want to take someone back there with me and share the yummyness, because it was such a fantastic fun little place.
After lunch, my mom headed home and I walked down to Parkgrounds to check out the Atlanta Craft Mafia. They were accepting membership applications, so I filled one out and then made a little pin with their craft stuff they had on the side for fun. I didn't stay too long because I was feeling a bit tired, so I headed home, rested up and then went to Jeremy's goodbye party. He is a bike friend of ours and is moving to Boston next week. He will be missed!
Today, I've just been organizing my craft room - I finally got all my sewing supplies here and I needed to go through it badly to sort what I still would use and what was trash. Other than cleaning, I just made some little Valentine's day pins while listening to JemiBook's songs. They are really cute and my favorites are "Elope", "Little Asian Girl" and "February". I definitely recommend them! They were sweet and inspiring to listen to while making stuff.
Tomorrow I'm hopefully going to be putting up an etsy store if all goes well. I was hoping to do it tonight but cleaning got in the way. I should be selling a pins, plus cats, and cards I think. We'll see what I have! Exciting! If it does infact go up tomorrow, I'll post it here. Also - thanks everyone for the nice comments, I'm trying to figure out tonight how to reply back to them by using typepad properly. Ack! Its still sorta new to me. :)
And last but not least, Chris made me a super yummy surprise dinner of spiceeeey Chili tonight. Mmmmmm. Hooray for sweet boyfriends who can cook! :9
